About this course
The Mental Health First Aid Standard Refresher course is available to individuals who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid course. This refresher course will update your knowledge and build on the skills you have acquired and is essential to keep your accreditation up to date.
Refresher courses need to be completed within three years of completing Mental Health First Aider accreditation.
In this course you will learn about the latest research in the mental health field, work through complex mental health first aid interactions and practice your mental health first aid skills across a range of mental health problems and mental health crisis situations.
At the end of the course you will complete a short assessment to extend your Mental health First Aid Accreditation for a further three years.
Entry requirements
Each participant must have access to a minimum of the following resources to complete the instructor-led sessions:
- Computer with reliable internet access and keyboard
- Web camera
- Headsets and/or speaker system
- Microphone
- Ability to access Adobe PDF documents
