Our micro business course and small business course online are designed to build skills and competency in students through nationally recognised qualifications. It’s about skilling-up in a way that can lead to career advancement – whether that’s securing a management role in your organisation, seeking a new employment pathway or starting a new small business venture.
MiTraining students are fully supported throughout their study by a dedicated Student Services team, who are available to help with technical, course-related or general queries.
Course Content and Learning Outcomes
On each online business course or short course page you'll find a snapshot of the key topics in each course. Naturally the course content itself is more in-depth and expands on these topics, but this overview is designed to highlight the learnings you'll take away.
On the qualification pages you'll find a comprehensive overview of the course including how it's delivered, the duration, course fees, assessment, entry requirements, and how the course is structured with a list of Subjects and the Units of Competency clustered within them.

Nationally Accredited Qualifications
MiTraining qualifications are nationally accredited and recognised. Look out for the Nationally Recognised Training logo on the qualification course pages.
Undertaking a qualification will require you to complete various assessment tasks to be deemed competent in each unit of competency. Qualifications are delivered in teaching periods with a dedicated trainer and other students undertaking the same course.
Short Courses
We offer the most in-demand development areas delivered as flexible, affordable short courses and micro courses. The courses are non-accredited for professional development and differ in length and cost.
Think of them as a skills-shot in an area you need to develop in quickly, or gain more confidence in applying these skills in your work environment. These courses are self-paced, meaning you can start any time and work through the course when it suits you.
