About this course

The Mental Health First Aid (Standard) course offers a deep dive into how to support those in distress and help them move through their mental health crisis. Learn about:

- Aggressive behaviours
Delivery format
Become certified in Mental Health First Aid from the comfort of your own home or workplace.
The online blended Mental Health First Aid (Standard) course is delivered as an initial self-paced e-learning component, followed by two instructor-led sessions of approximately 3 hours each conducted via video conferencing. These sessions are held over two separate days, one week apart.
The course is interactive and is not delivered in a “lecture” type format. Participants must attend with their camera and microphone turned on. We reserve the right to request that participants leave the training environment should they refuse to do so.
Prerequisites
To participate in the course, you must first finish the self-paced e-learning modules. After that, you can attend the instructor-led sessions.
Entry requirements
Each participant must have access to a minimum of the following resources to complete the instructor-led sessions:
- Computer with reliable internet access
- Web camera
- Headsets and/or speaker system
- Microphone
- Ability to access Adobe PDF documents
