Maintain Your Mental Health First Aider Accreditation
The Mental Health First Aid Standard Refresher course is available to individuals who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid (Standard) course. This refresher course will update your knowledge and build on the skills you have acquired and is essential to keep your accreditation up to date.
Refresher courses need to be completed within three years of completing Mental Health First AiderTM accreditation.
In this online course you will learn about the latest research in the mental health field, work through complex mental health first aid interactions and practice your mental health first aid skills across a range of mental health problems and mental health crisis situations.
At the end of the course you will complete a short assessment to extend your Mental Health First Aid Accreditation for a further three years.
Delivery format
Undertake your MHFA Refresher course from the comfort of your own home or workplace.
The online Mental Health First Aid (Standard) Refresher course is delivered over 5 hours, led by an accredited instructor via video conferencing.
Entry requirements
Each participant must have access to a minimum of the following resources to complete the instructor-led session:
- Computer with reliable internet access
- Web camera
- Headsets and/or speaker system
- Microphone
- Ability to access Adobe PDF documents
